Welcome

Connected by a shared love of music, this group delivers energetic performances spanning generations and genres: from Bowie to Britney and everything in between.

A note on tradition

What's now Silverton Pride grew out of something simple: community members choosing to show up in the same space, share food, and find each other. The gathering has been known as both the Rainbow Family Lunch and the Silverton Pride Family Picnic: no stage, no sponsors, just people.

Today, that spirit is still at the heart of every Pride celebration. So pack a lunch, spread out a blanket, and carry the tradition forward.

Pride Welcome by

Mayor Jason

Jason Freilinger has served the Silverton community for over a decade (on city committees, task forces, the planning commission, and city council) before being sworn in as mayor in January 2023.

A longtime member of Silverton's downtown business community, he brings deep roots and a commitment to transparent, community-driven leadership to everything he does.

Billie McBride

Billie McBride is Miss Trans Oregon 2024, a dazzling figure skater, and a fierce advocate for LGBTQ youth across the state. She has graced stages across the nation, bringing her talent, advocacy, and heart to every community she touches.

A certified goddess both on and off the ice, Billie brings warmth, visibility, and a powerful voice to everything she does, and we are so honored to have her open Silverton Pride 2026 alongside Mayor Jason.

Your Emcee: RiRi Calienté

Get ready to be entertained: RiRi Calienté is taking the stage as your emcee for the day.

A beloved, award-winning drag performer and the reigning Mother of Salem, RiRi is a cornerstone of the Mid-Valley LGBTQ+ community.

Celebrated for her high-energy performances, charitable activism, and status as a mentor to over a dozen drag children in the Oregon area, she brings heart, humor, and pure joy to everything she does.

High Heel Race: In honor of Stu

One of the most beloved traditions of Silverton Pride, the High Heel Race is a tribute to the late Stu Rasmussen, the first openly transgender mayor in the United States and a true Silverton icon.

How It Works

  • Two races: Children (17 and under) & Adults (18+)

  • Participants must sign a release to join

  • Extra credit for red heels

  • Sign up at the Stu booth
