BYO lunch

Bring a picnic or grab one of our local restaurant specials around town, then settle in and make yourself at home in the park. This BYO-lunch tradition honors the queer community members who gathered here long before a formal Pride event existed: showing up for each other when the world wasn't always ready to show up for them.

Welcome

12:00 - 12:10 pm

Join us as we kick off the day with a welcome from Silverton Mayor Jason Freilinger, followed by an introduction from our fabulous emcee, RiRi Calienté, who will be guiding us through the afternoon's festivities.

12:10 - 12:55 pm

Connected by a shared love of music, this group delivers energetic performances spanning generations and genres: from Bowie to Britney and everything in between.

Bold, electric, and full of style, JoJo Gold brings a stage presence that's impossible to look away from.

High heel race

2:10 - 2:15 pm

A beloved Pride tradition and a tribute to Stu Rasmussen, the first openly transgender mayor in the U.S., this race brings high heels, high energy, and high spirits to Coolidge McClaine Park.

Tristin Thomas

2:15 - 3:00 pm

Warm and heartfelt, Tristin Thomas brings acoustic vibes that keep the afternoon flowing.

15 minute break

Desideratum

3:15 - 4:00 pm

Striking and unforgettable, Desideratum brings a sound as bold as their look.

A note on tradition

What's now Silverton Pride grew out of something simple: community members choosing to show up in the same space, share food, and find each other. The gathering has been known as both the Rainbow Family Lunch and the Silverton Pride Family Picnic: no stage, no sponsors, just people.

Today, that spirit is still at the heart of every Pride celebration. So pack a lunch, spread out a blanket, and carry the tradition forward.
